Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal to join our Wilmington office.
The role of the Estate Planning Paralegal is to draft correspondence and legal documents; confer with clients, insurance companies, financial institutions, and public officials; review tax strategies, gather information and keep abreast of administrative changes. The overall goal is to assist attorneys in ensuring the client's wishes are fulfilled. All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional time management, organizational, and analytical skills; excellent client communications and service; proficient technology skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite and general online research; and meticulous attention to detail with superior proofreading skills. The paralegal must be able to work independently, collaborating with team members as needed.
A Paralegal Degree and at least two years of law firm experience with a preference to those who have estate planning specific experience. Experience may substitute for education requirement.
