Now hiring Commercial Electrical Journeyman | Electrical ForemanJob Summary:
Inspect, install, remove, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical equipment in a safe, logical, and efficient manner complying with all electrical codes and safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs, repairs, and maintains district electrical and lighting systems Installs conduit, wires, switches, outlets, plugs, underground cables, power circuits and panels, transformer panels, and other wiring required for electrical and lighting systems.
Inspects building wiring, panels, and electrical fixtures and rectifies unsafe conditions.
Ensures that all electrical work performed conforms too electrical and safety codes.
Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Obtain necessary material and supplies.
Remain in compliance with current OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications and skills:
Current Journeyman License for Construction Industries Board.
OSHA 10 or 30 hours preferred.
Able to work well on a team.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Strong interpersonal communication.
Physical Limitations:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, and perform all aspects of electrical installation on a daily basis.
Use of power tools on a daily basis.
Job may require working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain or snow.
Must wear personal protective equipment when job requires so (hard hat, safety glasses, leather boots, and gloves.)
