DSP Senior Aide responsibilities include the following:
- 2nd shift 3pm-11pm includes a weekend shift. total 40hours a week.
- Be responsible for the welfare and safety of the individuals during a shift.
- Complete a variety of programs with individuals designed to support them to live as independently as possible.
- Adhere to the steps of written guidelines, programs, and Behavior Support Plan.
- Assist House Manager with completing a variety of tasks to maintain the home and to meet the standards of both Opportunity House and the Department of Developmental Services.
- Collect and record reliable data as required for all individuals household programs.
- Supervise part time staff on shift in the absence of House Manager.
- Administer medication per physician orders.
- Attend in - service trainings sessions according to DDS regulations.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma and CT drivers license is required.
- Department of Developmental Services Medication Administration Certification is required- Do not apply if you do not posses this certification.
- Must be current with PMT, CPR & First Aid - required.
- At least 3 years experience working with or caring for individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Must have experience working in a group home.
