The Assistant Coordinator, Trucking is responsible for coordinating safe and cost-efficient transportation of Clark Pacific products and miscellaneous materials to our plants and jobsites. As well as communicating and documenting schedules, costs, and company policy to vendors and various departments within the company. The Assistant
Coordinator, Trucking will report to the Trucking Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction field, preferred.
- Inspect load, and equipment, and QC status for the plant.
- Knowledge of construction materials.
- Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
- Coordinate trailer rotations by project and by plant for cost efficiency and optimal trailer availability.
- Track trailers, easels, and trucks to ensure timely delivery to plant and to projects.
- Coordinate, reconcile, track, and document transportation expenses.
- Coordinate and document transportation schedules.
- Coordinate Quality Control approval schedules with truckers to optimize driver hours-of-service and timely deliveries to our projects.
- Arrange transportation state and country-wide for miscellaneous materials, including but not limited to, grout, braces, deadmen, plant equipment, and heavy equipment.
- Facilitate group communications between project managers, dispatchers, and Loading Department heads, for each project.
- Coordinate load, gear, and trailer returns.
- Work with Engineering Department to understand erection schedules, import job-specific information into Piece Tracker to understand and communicate global demand of trucks, trailers, equipment, as well as loading manpower.
- Communicate issues and repair specifics to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work with field foreman and engineers to provide transportation services for gear and miscellaneous materials.
- Create job folders with various types of information to ensure trucking companies and project managers have the best possibility for success.
- Participate in meetings, including but not limited to, Pre-Trucking, Post
- Trucking, Safety, Trucking/Loading, and Field Contract.
- Dispatch coordination for multiple plants to multiple jobsites.
- Other duties as assigned.
