**Job Description: Line Cook**

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and portion guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the open kitchen, ensuring it reflects our commitment to quality and hygiene.
- Execute tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet service times and maintain smooth kitchen operations, visible to our guests.
- Ensure all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely and hygienically, maintaining transparency.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering as needed to minimize waste and maintain freshness, in view of our guests.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times, demonstrating professionalism in an open environment.
- Contribute to menu planning and new dish development as required, showcasing creativity and culinary skill in full view of our guests.
- Uphold our commitment to providing excellent customer service through consistent food quality and presentation, fostering customer interaction and satisfaction.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and efficiency, under the scrutiny of an open kitchen setting.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and organization, enhancing the visual appeal of dishes in an open kitchen.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and orderly open kitchen workspace, showcasing professionalism and transparency.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet customer demand in an open kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Ability to work in a hot and sometimes cramped open kitchen environment, maintaining grace under pressure.
