The Human Resource Coordinator will perform the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding, offboarding, training and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Coordinator will utilize the department databases to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential, along with assisting and advising management on HR related issues or topics. An important part of this role will include performing regulatory compliance and reporting to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department. The Human Resource Coordinator will create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies. This is an on-site role; therefore, the ideal candidate should be local to Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating orientation schedules of staff new hires and leading orientation for all new hires.
- Assist with employee recognition, such as but not limited to; firm events, lunches and internal communications sent by the HR department regarding firm changes and updates.
- Answering routine questions about timekeeping and ADP, and ensuring FLSA standards are met
- Acting as a point of contact in the office for general human resource questions
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave of absence administration, productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Assist the Lead Human Resource Generalist with complaints intake, investigations, and performance management
- Collaborating with the department to assist with the performance review process, status change forms, and conducting exit interviews
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in HR/ Business or High School diploma. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Human Resource Certification a plus
- At least 3 years’ Human Resources experience required.
- Talent Management administration experience required
- Leave of Absences and Workers Compensation experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must considered themselves a people’s person
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency in ADP experience is a plus
