Position Overview: The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for Epique Realty. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic guidance to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Preparing forecast reports for income, expenses, and earnings.
- Accounting Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate annual financial audits and reviews with external auditors, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary updates to accounting policies and procedures.
- Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management activities to optimize liquidity and mitigate financial risk.
- Monitor banking relationships and ensure compliance with banking covenants and agreements.
- Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax filings.
- Work closely with external tax advisors to develop tax strategies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Financial Systems and Processes:
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial systems and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to optimize financial operations.
- Billing AR,AP, and Payroll Accounts:
- Reconciling monthly billing with contractors.
- Processing chargeback and disputes.
- Processing payroll and payments, contractors, and employee

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
