Job Description:
The Supplemental Vascular Technologist will fill in for vacation and sick calls at various imaging centers based on department need. The shifts will be 8 or 10 hour day shifts, days can vary between Monday – Sunday. This position will be eligible for a12% supplemental differential pay.
Summary: To obtain the safest and highest quality diagnostic vascular exams for image documentation of anatomy and pathology for interpretation by an interventional radiologist or vascular surgeon per established Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC guidelines and protocols.

Performs high quality non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams that are consistently approved by the Radiologist and performed to accepted protocol.

Performs various Vascular exams and Doppler imaging including, but not limited to: Carotid, upper and lower extremity arterial, upper and lower extremity venous, mesenteric, renal, abdominal, and pelvic examinations. Assists Radiologists and surgeons with invasive vascular ultrasound procedures as needed.

Accurately take patient history for exams

Obtains appropriate patient histories and demonstrates proficiency at utilizing the PACS system in locating prior reports/studies pertinent to exams being done.

Utilizes Medicalis to track patient check-in/availability.

Takes phone calls from patients and schedulers to clarify exams, patient preparatory information and general questions

Reads previous reports and enters exam information in a timely and accurate manner consistent with exam protocols. Dictates final report for interpreting physician to review and sign.

Communicates with referring physicians and/or ED physician when significant findings are discovered or when requested by physician

Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.

Coordinates patient care between technologists and clerical staff to facilitate a smooth workflow

Performs other duties as assigned

Makes accurate and timely use of Workday timekeeping system.

Arrives for assigned shifts on time to begin exams at their prescribed time.

This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.

Qualifications:

Education:
-
AA Degree required
-
Accredited Vascular technology education Program to pass the ARDMS (RVT) board exams.
-
Experience: One year of Vascular Technologist experience preferred
-
Anatomy and medical terminology preferred.

Medical office experience preferred.
-
Understanding of vascular procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.
-
Registration/Certification: Must have successfully passed ARDMS (RVT), SVS registration.

Certifications: Current CPR/BLS required
-
Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Workday; Medicalis; Stentor; Internet/Intranet

Background Check:

Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
