About the Role:
Prospect Schools is seeking an organized, self-starter, flexible, and mission-driven Social Worker to join us in support of our growing network of schools. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. This person will report directly to the Director of Student Supports (in Elementary and Middle School) or the Director of Student Affairs (in High School) and be responsible for creating and implementing advisory lessons, leading restorative justice interventions, and providing comprehensive support to students. This role is integral to fostering a positive school culture and enhancing the social-emotional well-being of our students.
Advisory & Socio-Emotional Development
Design and support grade-level programming and advisory curriculum aimed at the development of all students and staff’s’ socio-emotional competencies
Assess and identify high-risk students and provide supportive individual and group counseling, and/or referral to additional services as needed
Serve as the Primary resource for advisors and staff in building SEL skills in response to students’ emotional and developmental needs
Develop and lead PD cycle on circle practices, SEL,conflict resolution and building relationships, to name a few..
Lead short term counseling groups based on student needs as identified by the school community.
Restorative Justice
Lead restorative justice interventions to address conflicts and behavioral issues within the school community.
Facilitate restorative circles, conferences, and other restorative practices to promote healing and accountability.
Provide training and support to staff and students on restorative justice principles and practices.
Maintain detailed records of restorative justice interventions and outcomes to track progress and impact.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of restorative justice interventions and adjust strategies as needed.
Data Driven
Attend and collaborate with MTSS Team to develop behavior plans and response to interventions as needed
Utilize Behavior management system data (Deanslist) to inform interventions and schoolwide culture initiatives.
Collect and analyze data related to student behavior, social-emotional development, and the impact of interventions.
Monitor, evaluate and observe the effectiveness of socio-emotional programming in advisory through a feedback cycle protocol
Ensure that all counseling notes are tracked and entered within 48 hours for individual and group counseling and immediately for crisis evaluations.
Prepare reports and presentations on the effectiveness of social-emotional programs and interventions.
Student Culture
Collaborate with other Social workers and facilitate family workshops based on the need of the school
Collaborate with the lead social worker to ensure alignment in SEL interventions with school culture protocols.
Model how to build strong, mutually respectful relationships with students and families and support teachers to do the same
Support in school-wide systems such as Arrival, Lunch, and Dismissal with an eye for student safety and inclusiveness
Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
Develop and implement intervention plans for students in need of additional support.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to monitor and support student progress.
Assist in crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals to external resources when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
Masters Degree in Social Work required
At least 2 years of social work/counseling experience, preferably in a school environment
Exceptionally strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail
Adept at collaborating and building community with others
Prior experience with advisory cohorts/curriculum

Salary:
Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role. The salary range for this role is from $60,000-$85,546.
