We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of the Civil Engineering Department specializing in Land Planning to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead our civil engineering department with a focus on land planning projects, ensuring high-quality design, implementation, and management of various land development initiatives.
EV Civil Principal Leadership, which currently leads this team, will remain engaged with the team but would like to provide a support role and assist the Director. As a company that is looking to support the emerging leadership team, we are searching for someone that can grow into this position and utilize Principal support less overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, zoning ordinances, and environmental standards.
- Lead a team of civil engineers, planners, and other professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize land use, infrastructure design, and site development.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on civil engineering principles, land planning strategies, and sustainable development practices.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in land planning and civil engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land planning and development.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing land planning projects from concept through completion.
- Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
