Excalibur is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join the housekeeping team as a Utility House Person! We are seeking someone with prior housekeeping or cleaning experience to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and order in alignment with MGM standards.
THE JOB:
As a Utility House Person, you will ensure cleanliness and order in assigned areas by dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. You will deliver items like refrigerators and cribs to guest rooms, empty trash and linen from attendants' carts, and restock supplies. You'll follow safety and cleaning procedures, including quick flood response and mattress flipping. Additionally, you'll clean restrooms and maintain halls, lobbies, and stairwells.
THE STARTING RATE: $22.716/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Provide consistently professional, friendly, and exceptional service aligned with S.H.O.W. Service Basics, exceeding guest expectations.
Maintain high cleanliness and quality standards in designated spaces.
Operate various professional floor care and specialty cleaning equipment effectively.
Handle and clean biohazardous materials safely and according to protocols.
Perform continuous cleaning of ash urns, lamps, mirrors, and pictures, and maintain marble or tile floors.
Promptly fulfill guest requests, delivering items such as refrigerators, pillows, rollaways, cribs, etc., to guest rooms.
Manage trash and linen disposal from Guest Room Attendants’ carts as needed.
Monitor and restock supplies in assigned lockers to maintain adequate inventory levels.
Follow Quick Flood Response and safety procedures, including general cleaning and room preparation.
Regularly clean restrooms, vacuum halls, lobbies, and edges, and attend to hall railings, wallpaper marks, stairwells, and lockers.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar labor-intensive role.
Experience in a similar resort setting.
Describes themselves as detail oriented, a quick learner, and a proficient multitasker.
Dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service.
Comfortable with heavy lifting and handling various biohazard cleaning tasks.
Flexible to work various hours/shifts as required per on call requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
Effectively communicate in English in both written and verbal forms.
