POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will work within the Orthopedic Medicine department to provide comprehensive medical care to CCOE’s primary clinic patients, treating various orthopedic conditions related to the spine and additional chronic pain. This is a great opportunity for a Spine Surgeon to build and manage a very busy practice within a well-established orthopedic clinic. Candidates must be able to work independently and have exceptional clinical skills. The ideal candidate should be Board Eligible or Board Certified and licensed to practice in Colorado or have a pending Colorado license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to diagnose orthopedic conditions and injuries.
- Utilize medical imaging, such as X-rays, MRI scans, and CT scans, to aid in diagnosis.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique condition and needs.
- Discuss treatment options, risks, and benefits with patients to make informed decisions.
- Ensure surgical procedures are performed precisely and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Administer non-surgical treatments such as medications, injections, physical therapy, and orthotic devices as appropriate.
- Monitor and manage post-operative care to ensure patients heal properly and achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide ongoing follow-up appointments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about their orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and surgical notes.
- Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and best practices to provide the highest quality of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews.
- Ensure compliance with state medical board requirements for licensure.
- Obtain and maintain hospital privileges as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- M.D. or D.O. required.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Must be fellowship trained in spinal surgery.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Colorado or eligible to obtain prior to hire date.
- Must have completed orthopedic surgery residency.

Pay: $240,000.00 per year
