Performs machine operation and assembly in a job shop or high-volume applications. Processes components to meet print and/or geometric tolerance requirements. Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of production machinery, maintenance of proper documentation and support of the manufacturing engineering function.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
1. Machinist I ($20-$24/hour) and a $1,500 Sign on Bonus
1st Shift Hours: 6:30am-3pm
- Under close supervision, completes tasks as directed by SOPs, routers, prints, work instructions, and manufacturing schedules.
- Operates machining equipment under close supervision and learns machining and metal removal concepts which include milling, turning, grinding, and other methods.
- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Adheres to dimensions and tolerances found on prints. May use prints and sketches to determine proper methods and processes.
- Learns process of maintaining machine maintenance files.
- Reworks productions parts and performs emergency rework and/or modification of production parts as directed.
- Performs in-process checks using measuring devices and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead person or supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Trains other employees.
- Works on projects as part of a team, exchanging ideas and contributing skills that complement those of the other team members. Fulfills commitments to team members.
- Performs assembly, deburring, and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Position will use machining and metal removal equipment which may include milling, turning, grinding and other methods and measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers and micrometers.
2. Machinist II (Intermediate) ($25-27/hour) and a $1,500 Sign on Bonus
2nd Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11pm
- May perform setup of manual machines and tool and offset changes on CNC machines.
- Under general supervision, completes tasks as directed by SOPs, routers, prints, work instructions and manufacturing schedules..
- Operates machining equipment with an understanding of machining and metal removal concepts which may include milling, turning, grinding and other methods.
- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers and micrometers.

- Performs basic machine set up.
- Performs basic selection and care of special machine tools such as drills, jigs, mills, lathes and fixtures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience with trade school certification preferred where applicable.
- Full knowledge of machinist role and substantial acquaintance with and understanding of the machining of routine parts.
- Understanding of FDA device manufacturing requirements.
3. Senior Machinist: ($27-33/hour) and a $1,500 Sign on Bonus
3rd Shift Hours: 10:30pm - 7am
- Performs programming.
- Performs set up of manual and CNC machines including loading of tools, troubleshooting, programming adjustments and tear-down.
- With limited supervision, completes tasks as directed by SOPs, routers, prints, work instructions and manufacturing schedules.
- Operates machining equipment with an understanding of machining and metal removal concepts which may include milling, turning, grinding and other methods.
- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers and micrometers.
- Adheres to dimensions and tolerances found on prints. May use prints and sketches to determine proper methods and processes.
- Performs machine set up.
- Demonstrates a high degree of proficiency in the selection and care of special machine tools such as drills, jigs, mills, lathes and fixtures.
- Diagnoses machine problems using proper diagnostic tools.
- Maintains CNC program files.
- Maintains machine maintenance files.
- Reworks productions parts and performs emergency rework and/or modification of production parts as directed.
- Modifies existing processes if necessary.
- Inspects prototypes, machines prototype fixtures and First Article components.
- Performs in-process checks using measuring devices and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead person or supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Trains other employees.
- Works on projects as part of a team, exchanging ideas and contributing skills that complement those of the other team members. Fulfills commitments to team members.
- Performs assembly, deburring and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of related experience with trade school certification preferred where applicable.
- Considerable knowledge of the machinist role and complete acquaintance with an understanding of the machining of routine parts and ability to practically apply solutions to routine problems.
- Understanding of FDA device manufacturing requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour
