Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a STRUCTURAL STEEL FIELD FOREMAN for a client in Phoenix.
STRUCTURAL STEEL FIELD FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and direct field crews in the installation of structural steel components ,including columns, beams, trusses, and girders.
- Coordinate and schedule all activities related to steel erection with project managers and other subcontractors.
- Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards for all work performed.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for all crew members.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that work is progressing according to specifications and requirements.
- Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the project, including changes in scope or schedule.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure that work is performed within budget.
STRUCTURAL STEEL FIELD FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel erection, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices related to steel erection.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
