Chemist: Adhesive Technologies
Our Adhesive Lab and Technical Teams are seeking a driven team player with multiple skills sets. In addition to displaying a high level of technical skill, the ideal candidate will be adept at data-driven problem solving and effective interpersonal communication, as the Chemist will be a key player in cultivating the customer relationship. Inquisitiveness is an essential strength for this role.
Training will be provided. Our aim is to propel our partners to achieve tomorrow’s packaging and industrial gluing goals today, and the role of the Chemist is crucial in helping us achieve that. Responsibilities:
- Understand technical specs of current product catalog to provide support to internal team and customers
- Conduct lab experiments to evaluate and glean meaningful insights in product differentiation, failure analysis, or new product development
- Make product recommendations through collaboration with the sales team and our customers
- Effectively communicate key technical concepts to internal team and customers via lab reports, presentations, seminars, etc.
- Travel with sales team to customer facilities to gather information, troubleshoot, educate product users, and present new technologies
- Establish and maintain rapport with suppliers to develop products and meet customer needs
Education and Experience:
- B.A. or B.S. in Chemistry, Sciences or related field required
- 2+ years industrial experience preferred
