Goodness Ingredients is a subsidiary company of Grower Direct Nut, a vertically integrated family owned and family run tree nut grower and processor. Goodness Ingredients manufactures nut-based ingredients in the food and beverage markets. Our ingredients are used in nut milks, bakery, bars, snack nuts and confectionary. We also market our own brand of nuts and nut butters under the Nutty Gourmet brand label, and contract manufacture for other brands and private label.
JOB SUMMARY
Goodness Ingredients is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated specialist to drive back-end sales and operation functions such as Procurement, Demand Planning, Inventory, and Logistics. You will help coordinate the planning and movement of finished goods, ingredients, and packaging materials throughout our process and communicate with our contracted customers. The main objective for this role is to provide excellent customer service to our customers, and ensure timely purchasing, inventory counts, and delivery of all goods, reduce costs, and establish processes to optimize efficiencies throughout our supply chain. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales Support
- Provide support to Sales Manager in devising solutions to customers.
- Help develop product specifications, assist with pricing and quotes/bids
- Manage shipment of samples and sales collateral.
- Assist in processing POs.
- Create and maintain forecasting of pipeline for future contracts/sales.
Procurement Management
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Demand Planning
- Utilize historical data, and input from sales teams to forecast future demand for products.
- Develop and maintain demand planning models and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with production and inventory levels.
- Monitor demand patterns and adjust forecasts as needed to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Inventory Management
- Analyze inventory levels and aging stock to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Develop inventory replenishment strategies to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and obsolescence.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize inventory flow and storage.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement and demand planning processes through automation and optimization.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of procurement and demand planning initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting techniques and/or the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Some knowledge of procurement regulations, contract management, and supply chain best practices.
This role has potential for full-time employment after internship period.
