We are looking for an Electrical Circuit Breaker Technician to join our team and provide electrical testing and maintenance for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, experience working on circuit breakers and have the ability to work independently either in the shop or out in the field. The Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing and repairing electrical equipment, as well as providing technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair customer electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Perform testing on low and medium voltage equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer service activities.
- Primarily provide services in the Coastal Power Systems shop.
- Ability to travel when necessary for field service work.
- Ability to perform physical activities.
- Research manufacturer manuals and circuit breaker information.
- Adhere to all electrical safety standards.
- Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous materials.
Skills:
- Experience working on low and medium voltage circuit breakers
- Perficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience wiring switchboards and control panels.
- Strong computer skills working with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of electricity and good aptitude for problem solving.
- Experience working in a shop setting and in the field at customer locations.
- Basic understanding of loto procedures.
Education: Technicians must have graduated from High School or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
