POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Morristown is accepting applications for the position of Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness. The Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness supports the College President in administering and directing Business and Academic Affairs.
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university required
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience in an educational setting is required
- Minimum of seven years of organizational management with administrative level experience in higher education is preferred
- Experience with and knowledge of Council on Occupational Education accreditation requirements, TN Promise, and TN Reconnect would be beneficial
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Possess administrative, technical writing, and project management skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word as well as student information systems such as Banner
- Possess good analytical and exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the visionary officer for instruction, physical and information technology infrastructure, finance, human resources, and campus security. The Vice President works directly with faculty to ensure quality instructional programs; works with staff and faculty to implement strategic goals and objectives for the college; coordinates short and long-range planning efforts; and assists the President on projects requiring leadership with the responsibility to provide executive leadership in the absence of the President. The Vice President provides guidance in all academic functions including but not limited to planning, instruction, curricula, policy, and program development; assist with college financial operations and budget preparation; oversee all phases of operations including purchasing, inventory management, facility maintenance, safety and security; and oversee off campus locations in the continuous review, revision, implementation, and monitoring of operational goals and objectives. The Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the Affirmative Action, Title VI, and Title IX Officer; develop and implement new personnel orientation, professional development opportunities, and in service training programs. Assist the President with risk assessment, strategic planning, and other duties as needed.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
