Job Overview:
As the Director of Housekeeping, you will oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations within our hotel, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff, implement cleaning protocols, and manage inventory to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Duties:
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Manage a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement
- Address guest concerns or requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality, floor care, cleaning, and housekeeping management
- Knowledge of custodial and industrial cleaning practices
- Proven track record in hotel housekeeping operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality service
