Specific Responsibilities include the following:
- Provides required leadership and direction to subordinates & peers
- Responsible for the performance of all Quality Assurance functions
- Establishing quality standards and guidelines for manufactured products and processes that comply with ISO and IATF requirements.
- Representing Premier for product quality issues to customers
- Continually work with suppliers to improve performance
- Communicate and instruct suppliers on quality improvement initiatives
- Ensures On Time PPAP and IMDS submission
Job Description:
1. Customer, Internal and Supplier Concerns:
- Performs all duties with continuous improvement as the underlying philosophy
- Evaluates returned products, implements CA’s, issues QA’s, manages sorts as required, manages Hold area and maintains the Nonconforming Log
- Leads the use of disciplined problem solving methods for all product found not to meet required specifications and / or print requirements
- Timely follow up and disposition of non-conforming materials and/or products rejected in the manufacturing process
- Resolve all customer issues efficiently(Timely) and effectively(No Repeats)
3. Management Duties:
- Ensure subordinates are trained and fulfilling roles in meeting Org. Objectives
- •Verifies LPA, Mfg. Process Audits, Product Audits and Internal Audits scheduled and completed as required
- Ensures documented control and record retention processes are implemented and followed
- Responsible for on time and accurate PPAP submissions
4. Supplier Management:
- Evaluate, monitor and measure supplier quality via the supplier scorecard for purchased product and raw material vendors
- Initiate claim with vendors via DMR’s and validate debits from the customers and credits from our suppliers
- Work with supplier to gain corrective actions to address manufacturing defects
5. Management Review and MOS:
- Retrieve and file electronically all monthly customer Scorecards
- Update Management Review, MOS and Month End reporting documents as required
- Documents and leads monthly plant reviews for the quality department
Key Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- High level organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to read prints
- Desire to succeed in a culture of teamwork and accountability
- Computer proficiency – strong Excel, PP and Outlook skills
- Knowledge of measurement equipment such as calipers
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, PFMEA and LPA’s
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- B.S. degree preferred in Engineering or Business Management
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in quality management
Measures of Performance:
- Performance evaluation based on departmental objectives
- Green customer scorecards & successful 3 Party audits
- Defined, implemented, maintained and accurate key Quality metrics (Ex. Int/Ext PPM, Scrap, Defect reporting, etc…)
- On Time completion of all organizational audits identifying internal non compliances

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
