How We Support You:
At Queen of Angels, we believe that education is not just a collaboration between the teacher and the student, but between teachers, students, families, administrators, resource teachers, maintenance staff, school nurses, lunchroom staff, extended care staff, and faith leaders. Each one of us is an important part of a community. As an administration, we believe that our primary responsibility in that community is to support you, the teacher.
We work tirelessly to make this school a great place to teach. Queen of Angels works with you to provide everything you will need for your classroom. We keep our class sizes small (in 2024 our class sizes ranged from 9-19 students).
We offer a professional development fund to each teacher of $1,200 so you can continue to grow into the best you possible. Additionally, we offer our own Professional Development Days, as well as early dismissals every Wednesday afternoon, giving our teachers time for committee meetings, faculty meetings, community building activities, or personal work from 2:15-3:30pm each week. Meetings often focus on PBIS trainings, Executive Functioning, and our Noble Knights system, which focuses on positive reinforcement.
We also support you with a full-time instructional coach, and of course, our dedicated Principal who has extensive experience as a teacher, and whose door is always open for guidance, advice, and emotional support.
