We’re hiring a Driver Manager/Recruiter Position in the Chicago area.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Truck Driver Manager to join our team and take the lead in ensuring the success and satisfaction of our driver workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Driver Business Leader at Sargent Logistics Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the success of our drivers and the company. Your responsibilities will include:
Recruiting:
- Develop and implement strategic recruiting initiatives to attract a pool of qualified CDL-A drivers and office personnel.
- Conduct interviews: Assess skills, experience, and fit to identify the best candidates for our team.
- Extend job offers: Secure top talent by offering competitive compensation packages and outlining clear career paths.
- Guide the onboarding process: Work with the Safety and Operations teams to onboard new drivers and office staff seamlessly.
- Maintain a robust recruitment pipeline: Actively manage applicant databases and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
Driver Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs promptly and professionally.
- Maintain open and clear communication with drivers to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Assist with Orientation and Training when necessary:
- Conduct thorough orientations for new drivers, ensuring they are well-informed about company policies, safety procedures, and job expectations.
- Provide ongoing training and support to drivers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Full time: M-F 8am-5pm in office position
Office located at 52nd/ Pulaski in Chicago, IL
Second office also available in Oakbrook Terrace, IL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Trucking industry: 1 year (Required)
- (CDL-A) Driver Manager: 1 year (Preferred)
- Recruiting (CDL-A drivers): 1 year (Required)
