We’re seeking a candidate who is excited about the opportunity to make a difference as the company evolves. We are looking for a supervisor to join the Outbound Picking Team as a Supervisor.
A supervisor that will lead their teams to greatness and thrive in a hands-on environment. As a supervisor, and talent leader the role is ideal for an individual who can prioritize, provide excellent customer service and be outcome oriented. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential.
What you will do?:
- Oversee work activities for team associates on a daily basis

Review work procedures, work schedules, equipment assignments, and personnel to ensure efficient workflow to complete work assignments

Direct orders to the appropriate work areas and assigning personnel to departments that require additional capacity

Investigate and provide solutions to problems regarding external and internal customer concerns

Identify training needs and ensure each employee has the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the resources needed to provide a world-class level of service

Create and maintain the appropriate workplace culture and ensure that all facets (e.g., onboarding, compensation, communication channels, recognition & rewards, etc.) reinforce the desired behaviors that enable success

Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all levels of team management and key stakeholders

Compiles and maintains applicable associate metrics as required

Trains, develops and performance-monitors activities with associates
-
Ensures all associates are in compliance with company policies and procedures

Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all departments
-
Create a complete and accurate project schedule for our use in keeping the project on track

Update the schedule of daily tasks, employee assignments, production, quality, and daily/weekly/monthly completion and tracking performance daily

Create and provide all documentation required from start to completion including but not limited to submittals, schedules, updates, daily reporting, support tickets, change orders, etc.

Analyzes job cost reports to learn valuable information to be used for immediate and long-term improvement

Maintain accurate job files, including all documentation and correspondence

Follows closing procedures
What you bring to the table!:
- 3+ years of Warehouse Supervisor experience leading change management and leading people, required
-
Warehouse Supervisor experience leading, managing teams of 20 people on average
-
Warehouse Supervisor experience coaching direct reports
-
Possess good leadership skills and the ability to develop, motivate, work with and through others in all warehouse departments to achieve desired results, required
-
High school diploma or G.E.D.
-
Ability to move and handle merchandise weighing 1 ounce - 70 pounds
-
Ability to leverage desktop technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, etc.) and proprietary systems (e.g., ACD tools (RF), order entry software, warehouse management systems, etc.) in the performance of job responsibilities, with an emphasis on data management and reporting capabilities

Previous experience as a forklift operator and other distribution center machinery, preferred

Possess an understanding of picking orders, quality control, shipping, receiving and space utilization in a large-scale distribution center/warehouse environment strongly preferred

Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to read and interpret computerized reports

Requires ability to handle supervisor administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities

Ability to assess associate’s strengths and weaknesses and to communicate with them as their supervisor in a professional manner
-
Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions to make decisions with limited supervision
-
Ability to move and handle merchandise weighing 1 ounce to 70 pounds

Job duties typically require standing, sitting, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and/or reaching
Wage Starting at: $60,000 per year
