Description
Outstanding opportunity to join a large thriving Pain Management practice located in North Louisiana. The ideal candidate will be a physician focused on practicing quality interventional and non-interventional pain management treatments. This position will be full-time Monday through Friday.
Pain Management Physician Qualifications:
· Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and must possess or be willing to obtain a license to practice medicine in Louisiana
· Physiatry (PMNR) or Anesthesia trained
· Must have completed a Fellowship in Pain Management
· Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology/PMNR and Interventional Pain Management
· Active DEA license with relevant schedules
Pain Management Physician Responsibilities:
· Establish new patient contact, make medical assessments, prescribe medications, finalize new patient encounter notes into the company’s electronic health record (EHR) system
· Perform medical procedures in the company’s outpatient surgery center or in office
· Recommend tests to determine the source of pain, help diagnose the condition and manage pain
· Provide excellent customer service to patients
· Must be a team player and work well with other staff members
· Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the Medical Director
· Must be willing to travel to other Louisiana Pain Care offices (currently in Monroe and Ruston)
· On call (generally very light and is shared with the other physicians and nurse practitioners on first call)
