Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our team and work with young children in a nurturing and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and be passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences for our students.
ELCM supports higher education with flexible scheduling and participates in the NH TEACH program for associate degree students. Our classrooms have low teacher child ratios, meaningful thematic learning, and hands-on activities presented in a fun and child centered environment. Duties
- To develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Develop and maintain a safe and stimulating environment that encourages the growth and development of our students.
- Create and maintain a child-centered classroom that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- To create a classroom management style that is positive and promotes self-esteem.
- To set realistic goals and objectives for the children in your class.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and engaging work environment.
- To create a safe classroom environment, both physically and emotionally.
- Develop and maintain a strong rapport with students and their families.
- Provide support and resources to students with special needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and child welfare.
Skills
- Experience in early childhood education and childcare.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.
- Experience in behavior management and classroom management.
- Understanding of child welfare and the importance of creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging and interactive lessons.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain an assume best intentions attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Experience:
- Early childhood education: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
