Hourly: $19.00 - $22.00 hr
Position Summary: Non-emergency requests, provides Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS Level I) as needed, transports, sick or injured persons to the appropriate medical facility and complies with appropriate state Department of Health Standards.
Responsibilities: Respond to calls in a timely manner based on Company protocols.
Provide general medical care and treatment to patients in both emergent and non-emergent settings, including administering medications, IVs and airway management as defined by state and local regulatory agencies.
Meet and or exceed contractual response times. Represent North Star by being courteous, professional, and a patient advocate. Operate and drive an ambulance with regard to state and company safety policies. Comply with all protocols for treatment and transportation of the sick and injured as defined by North Star, local, and regional Medical Control.
Maintain and replenish vehicle, equipment and supplies as needed. Maintain a clean, professional appearance while maintaining a courteous, professional, and ethical behavior while working cooperatively with other members of the health care system, co-workers, and the public. Willing to work overtime as needed. Practice within your certification level.
Qualifications: Current Georgia EMT, EMT-I, or AEMT, please note your current license level. Current CPR certification card. Current Georgia Driver's License in good standing.
