This is a unique role suited to an individual who likes to stay busy with a variety of responsibilities, who is curious-minded, detailed, and technically inclined, and who likes to have a variety of computer, hands-on, and physical tasks. This is one of the rare positions that doesn’t require sitting at a computer all day.
Our ideal candidate is a person who communicates effectively, “owns” their responsibilities, is a team player, is proactive about taking things to the finish line, and can work independently without a lot of day-to-day oversight. This person should be motivated by responsibility and a job well done.
Shipping:
- Daily packing and shipping of incoming orders.
- Enter tracking information into ERP for customer notification.
- Interact with customers and the sales team on order status.
- Interact with freight companies for daily pick-up and delivery.
- Receive, shelve, pick, and pack internal inventory for customer orders.
- Run reports in the shipping database.
- Work with Accounting to reconcile monthly shipping Invoices.
- Manage adequate supply of shipping materials for various needs.
Framing Production
- Project manage custom orders from inventory verification to fabrication. Some orders may be “split build” between ourselves and the manufacturer in the UK. This person will work directly with the manufacturer to coordinate the build and shipping of these orders.
- Cut various aluminum extrusions to custom and standard sizing
- Verify custom orders from Monday.com to ensure accurate on-hand inventory, and necessary inventory to fulfill and or fabricate.
- Manage incoming framing orders
- Maintain assembled and unassembled inventory of aluminum extrusions, lights, and fittings for two framing lines.
- Assemble various extrusions, fittings, and lights for sales orders and internal sales team requests.
- Manage inventory of this product line between warehouses, sales to customers, and for internal use. Will communicate and work with Purchasing to keep this accurate.
- Boxing and shipping of framing orders for customers.
- Drive to and from the local warehouse (within 3 miles) to obtain additional parts needed for production.
Other
- Purchasing and maintaining inventory levels for internal stock
- Assist sales team with questions or problems regarding orders and purchasing/inventory levels.
- Learn and utilize our CRM (Salesforce), ERP (SAP Business One), and shipping software (Worldship) for daily use.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience with manufacturing/fabrication, inventory management and/or product management experience, dealing with customer and product issues.
- Professional phone, e-mail, in-person communication skills, and appearance
- Desire to work closely with a team and exhibit skills in teamwork and team sharing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer skills
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues
- Detail-oriented and able to uphold high standards of process requirements.
- Strong documentation skills
- The ability to self-start and stay focused on detailed individual tasks.
- A desire for a fast, energetic pace and the ability to manage a variety of open issues at once.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements.
- Ability to drive short distances.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
