We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team to assure we make and uphold the forever warranty of our legendary products.
SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing, as well as suggesting solutions to identify quality issues. Provides technical data for the company and suppliers in a timely manner to ensure accurate and meaningful inspection, testing and evaluation of in house and vendor items. Investigates product quality in order to improve the product and achieve better customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Evaluate, revise and author written procedures and work instructions to improve processes.
- Provide detail written reports based on product evaluations to include statistical data, observations and recommendations. Identify problem areas and add them to tracking system.
- Develops specification forms or inspection/test plans for parts and final products
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and minimize waste.
- Establish inspection criteria, conduct quality audits, and perform statistical analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers (Internal and External) to establish quality requirements, evaluate supplier performance, and address quality issues in a timely manner.
- Investigate quality incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare and present quality performance metrics and reports to management.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

- Must be able to use and operate all parts of precision measuring equipment such and micrometers, calipers, optical comparator,
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Quality Control, and general statistical methods as they apply to quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, SPC).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive decision-making and problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality-related tasks.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
BS in Engineering, Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year College[MM1] or technical school with an emphasis on math or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment
· ASQ Quality Engineering Certification a strong plus
· Lean Manufacturing knowledge a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Blueprints, Machinist Handbook, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Good analytical skills are necessary. Must be a critical thinker with good problem solving skills.
