Vitalant, dedicated to saving lives through blood donation, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Manager of FP&A to join our mission-driven team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of FP&A, this full-time professional role is essential in providing vital financial support to Vitalant and its diverse business units.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis and reporting, including monthly financial reviews, reforecasting, variance and pipeline analyses, and summarizing the financial performance of various business units. You will also perform ad hoc financial analyses and support initiatives aimed at improving financial processes and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and meet Vitalant's life-saving objectives.
The ideal candidate will thrive under tight deadlines, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality financial analyses. Additionally, this role requires the ability to develop and retain key talent, while fostering a culture of teamwork and effective execution, all in support of Vitalant's mission to ensure a safe and ample blood supply for those in need.
This position will work in the Scottsdale, AZ National Headquarters 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week in a hybrid work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.

Partners with management to complete the annual budget process for the assigned business unit(s) in coordination with the Sr Director FP&A, including completing the necessary analysis, templates, reports and presentations.

Preparation of all required monthly, quarterly and annual schedules and ensure timely preparation and submission. Key reports to include but not limited to detailed quarterly forecasts, Monthly Financial Review (MFR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR), etc.

Identify and implement recommendations to improve both systems and processes that benefit the FP&A organization.

Partner with the Accounting organization to help assure accurate and timely GL close and reporting.

Lead and/or participate in a variety of business initiatives supporting simplification, FP&A metric conformance, business growth or productivity.

Create and deliver enhanced management reports/dashboards that allow business partners to better understand their business and make informed decisions.

Performs other ad-hoc financial analyses as requested.

Knowledge/ Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance.
Experience
Seven years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
Three years of supervisory experience required.
Skills/Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties andresponsibilities.
Unquestioned integrity and ability maintain required confidentiality associated with this key financial position.

Outstanding communication skills and relationship-building abilities
A strong analytical toolkit that includes advanced excel skills, utilization of business intelligence and other financial reporting software to create models, complete financial analysis and reporting
