CDL Driver - Natural Gas Utility Construction
A Utility Construction Driver’s responsibilities include working hand in hand with Foremen and other team members to install electric, telecommunications, and other civil infrastructure. In addition to work outside the truck, CDL Drivers will need to demonstrate ability to listen and learn, put safety first and demonstrate a desire to work in the utility industry. Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL vehicle hauling, loading & unloading material from jobsites and vendors
- Handing digging and other work with crew
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections
- Perform regular maintenance and report maintenance needs
- Use various hand and power tools throughout various projects
- Perform tool and vehicle maintenance
- Fuel equipment with proper fuel
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Train workers to promote career growth
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate Safe practices by leading by example
- Maintain positive working relationships internally and with external constituents
- Work with the crew to complete work including various activities such as hand digging
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
· Prior experience in utility and construction industry highly desired
· Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work with others
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Requirements
· Valid CDL A Driver’s license
· 2A or more Mass Hydraulics License, Highly Desired
· Ability to pass pre- and post-employment DOT drug screenings
· Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
· Ability to obtain satisfactory results of a background check
· Ability to Lift 40lbs independently
· Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
