Summary of the Role:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves ensuring all fleet operations are compliant with safety regulations, coordinating maintenance schedules, managing vehicle records, and supporting the Maintenance Manager in optimizing fleet efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Work with Drivers to ensure that customers’ needs are met in a timely manner
- Coordinate with service providers for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the procurement and disposal of fleet vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance, including cost analysis and efficiency metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the Fleet Manager and other team members.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to fleet operations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a fleet administrator, fleet coordinator, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with fleet management software.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- Strong logistical skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fleet administration or a related field.
Education:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
