For over 50 years, Marine Repair Services-Container Maintenance Corporation has provided an array of customer programs including depot services, equipment sales, trucking, refrigerated services, and maintenance and repair with the nation’s largest M&R footprint. MRS-CMC is heavily invested in both Marine and Rail sectors. With a focus on family values, safety and customer service, MRS-CMC currently has depots in 12 cities throughout the Southeast and Gulf regions and over 40 Maintenance and Repair sites throughout the Northeast, Southeast, Southern and Gulf regions.
Due to growth and expansion, we are currently searching for a Administrative Specialist to join our team, with our joint venture; Reefer Express. This position will be headquartered at our office in Garden City, Georgia. As an Administrative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative processes. The ideal candidate will possess organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, communication skills, customer service skills, technical proficiency, and great adaptability skills.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
· Purchasing Management: Overseeing all aspects of purchasing, including purchase order (PO) management, placing orders, maintaining stock levels, reconciling invoices, and identifying new sourcing opportunities.
· Safety Documentation: Handling safety documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
· Communication: Promptly and professionally answering phones and email correspondence.
· Dispatcher Support: Assisting dispatchers with tasks such as billing, filing, copying, and inventory management as needed.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite to effectively manage documents and data.
· Experience using QuickBooks for financial management tasks.
· A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
· Possession of a TWIC card or eligibility to obtain one, demonstrating your suitability for roles requiring access to secure areas.
Preferred:
Previous experience in purchasing, accounting, or medical billing would be advantageous, enhancing your ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role effectively.
