Purposely Chosen, Inc./Born for Nia Maternity Home is seeking a full-time pre-licensed clinician to serve in our behavioral health program in Moreno Valley, CA, and San Bernardino, CA. The program is operated from an attractive residential home in the Moreno Valley and San Bernardino County community and serves up to 10 youths placed due to trauma and challenging behaviors. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate clinical social worker (ACSW) or associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT). We also welcome LCSW and LMFT-licensed individuals to apply.
The Pre-Licensed Clinical Therapist opportunity includes:

Purposely Chosen, Inc./Born for Nia Maternity Home behavioral health program in Moreno Valley, CA, and San Bernardino, CA, serves youth in a residential setting who are referred by Riverside and San Bernardino County DPSS. The program seeks a facility administrator to supervise several direct care staff who provide daily care and supervision for the youth. The pre-licensed clinician will have the resources of a clinical supervisor and the camaraderie of other clinicians who work at similar nearby facilities. This cohesive group of clinicians will gather regularly for training, support, and professional development activities.
The successful candidate will hold registration as an ACSW or AMFT, have experience working with youth with complex trauma, team well with others, have excellent communication and organizational skills, strive for ongoing professional development, and have a high degree of integrity and ethics.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with referring clinicians to assess youth and develop a plan of care
- Assess for suicide ideation and self-harm tendencies
- Provide weekly therapy to youth in the program
- Conduct periodic meetings with youth and their families
- Provide a full range of interventions, including behavioral management, interpersonal effectiveness skills, interventions with schools and parents, family support and training, community transition, and self-management
- Prepare discharge recommendations for the youth and family
- Maintain case files for each assigned youth
- Coach and train direct care staff on the effective use of trauma-informed interventions
- Possible after-hours and weekend consultations regarding assigned clients (with the ability to flex hours to offset those occasions)
Important Note:
Qualified candidates must pass a criminal background clearance through the Department of Justice and FBI, a pre-employment physical, and a TB test. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and eligibility for auto insurance are also required.
