Job Overview:
Iron Lion Brewery, a 250 + seat brew pub & music venue is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team! As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food production and service. Do what you love and listen to live music while your at it!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Develop and implement menu plans that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Monitor inventory levels
- Collaborate with our catering department
- Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively help manage a team
- Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and best practices
- Proficient in inventory control and cost management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
