PhoenixEV is seeking to hire a Director of Sales – East Coast will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to oversee retention of current PhoenixEV customers and to oversee the growth of profitable new business within their assigned region. The Director will maintain effective strategic relationships with public transit, airport, university and private transportation customers in the zero-emission bus market. This individual will support all aspects of Sales and Marketing including strategy, customer management and other initiatives (i.e., tradeshows) with a hands on approach.
The Director of Sales for the East Coast U.S. MUST have a profound knowledge of the transit industry with understanding of sales cycles, bid processes, RFP and RFI protocols, and the overall bus market. Battery Electric Bus knowledge is preferred, along with the intricacies of funding, incentives, grants, vouchers and other subsidies geared towards the adoption of zero emission fleets in the transit market.
Key tasks and requirements will include:
· Retention and reengagement of current PhoenixEV customers throughout the Northeast and Southeast continental U.S.
· Identifying new business opportunities by analyzing current and potential markets, competition, forecasting projected opportunities, and gaining targeted market share.
· Execute all aspects of the role with quantifiable data and Salesforce tracking.
· Actively prospect for new business opportunities within their designated sales region, specifically transit agencies, private fleets, colleges and universities, entertainment and airports.
· Mastery of PhoenixEV products, sales techniques, advantages of zero emission vehicles and an in depth understanding of charging and infrastructure.
· Experience selling technology-based products and vehicles, preferably selling to the transit industry
· Experience with industry policies, procedures and programs, particularly Federal Transit Administration related programs and policies
· Experience with long sales cycles associated with government and transit procurements
· Ability to sell based on technical capabilities, quality and environmental benefits
· CRM and Salesforce experience
· Must possess keen intellect, and extraordinary interpersonal skills
· College degree preferred
· Active listening, closing skills, tech savvy, networking and negotiation skills, market awareness and a self-starter

Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
