*MUST HAVE A VEHICLE , ONLY ONE POSITION WITHOUT A VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE AND THAT'S IN OLNEY, MD* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Autism Health Aid for Children. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting children with daily activities such as mealtime, personal hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities.
Implementing behavior management strategies tailored to each child's needs.
Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
Providing emotional support and fostering a nurturing environment for children with ASD.
Monitoring and documenting progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
Position: We are continously hiring but for this particular position we are looking for a male to work from 12:30pm-7:30pm. Monday- Friday You will arrive at Gaithersburg High School at 2:30pm and get your client from the bus. You will work there providing Therapeutic Integration services (TI) until 6:00 pm. You will then drive the client home and work until 7:30 pm providing IISS services. There are opportunities to work on weekends if interested.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and familiarity with evidence-based interventions and strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children with ASD.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
