X-Chem is seeking candidates for an Accounts Payable Specialist position in its Accounting and Finance Department. This role is vital in ensuring that Accounting, Financial and other administrative needs are met for the organization. This position reports to the Accounting Manager within X-Chem’s Accounting and Finance Department. This position is 15-20 hours/week with a flexible/hybrid schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to adapt quickly and work as a team
- Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite, Tipalti, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- 2-4 years of experience (preferred, not required)
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter bills into Tipalti, our AP software, with proper GL, department, and class coding
- Process purchase orders and related order documents through Accounts Payable process
- Communicate with employees and vendors regarding orders, invoices and statements
- Supporting team on month-end close procedures
- Assist in annual audit preparation as required
- Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve the accounting processes and recommend more efficient procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
