Job Description – VP Finance, FP&A
Summary
The VP of FP&A will be responsible for Archaea’s financial planning and analysis and will help to lead the development and management of an FP&A function. The candidate will help design and execute a bottoms up budget, run a budget development cycle, maintain a reforecasting process, and support, in close conjunction with IT/Data science, key operational and management reports.
This leadership role will partner actively with other leaders across the executive team, the finance organization, and work closely with operations, strategic sourcing, shared services, project management, and our joint venture partners.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Individual will be the key finance liaison across the organization that supports operations, project management, and various shared service functions
- Individual will continuously monitor P&L trends and identify issues/opportunities for revenue, margin improvement
- Individual role will work closely with accounting to support reporting requirements related to capital market partners and joint venture partners
- Individual will support the monthly and quarterly close though analytic variance analysis
- Support a monthly and quarterly reporting cycle both for internal management meetings
- Develop and implement FP&A best practices, procedures and processes to drive best in class forecast & planning, business insight and analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and multi-year financial strategic planning and capital allocation processes
- Play a leadership role in the process of continuously updating financials to assess the momentum of the business against forecast and against plan
- Prepare presentations for the CEO’s leadership team
Qualifications
The candidate must have deep experience in cash flow management with one or more capital expenditure heavy businesses and have a track record of establishing cash flow governance through controls and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset who has a bias for action.

Skills, Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Execution-oriented leader with the capability to build high performing teams and processes
- Demonstrated experience and success leading and building high-quality financial planning
- Sound business judgment and acumen and operational ability to proactively and effectively guide the company’s planning and resource allocation processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with imperfect information to inform data-driven decision-making
- Understands strategic plans and ensures metrics in place to track progress against key strategic goals and value creation
- Exceptional ability to challenge and support the business, anticipate issues and drive good decision making with fact-based analytics
- Strong listener and strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a succinct, simple way
- Demonstrates ability to quickly establish credibility and capability to effectively build rapport with and partner with executives and sponsors
