Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Behavior Support Department. In this role, you will collaborate with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), individuals with IDD, their families, and other professionals to teach prosocial replacement behaviors for aggression, self-injury, and other dangerous behaviors. We provide a supportive and flexible environment with opportunities for professional development and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Behavioral Services: Assist in delivering behavior-analytic services under the direction and supervision of BCBAs.

Supervision Engagement: Engage with BCBAs during regular supervision sessions.

Documentation: Assist with graphing and documenting behavior and psychiatric symptoms.

Meetings and Training: Participate in department meetings, journal clubs, grand rounds, and other professional development activities.

Travel: Regularly travel to group homes and other facilities in Oneonta.
Qualifications:

Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (psychology, counseling, special education, social work, criminal or juvenile justice, sociology, speech education, rehabilitation, speech pathology, audiology, nursing, or physical/occupational therapy).

Certification: RBT certification required. If not certified, we can help you through the credentialing process.

Experience: At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with IDD.

Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, hand dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and listening.

Occasional sitting.

Ability to lift and move more than 50 pounds.

Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
