Vascular Access Specialist (PICC Nurse)

Card Vascular LLC is an all-encompassing vascular access organization that provides expertise in consulting, education and placement services. Our placement services leverage cutting edge technology by using ultrasound guidance, Modified Seldinger Technique (MST), catheter tip location and tip confirmation tools in all healthcare settings.
With our continued growth and success, we are in search of a PICC nurse to join our highly skilled and motivated team. Ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, character, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform PICC, Midline, and IV insertions.
- Perform Port Access/De-Access
- Dressing changes and line maintenance.
- Educate patients and family on care and maintenance of lines.
- Educate healthcare staff on care and maintenance of lines.
- Ensure the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with State Board Nursing requirements and other regulatory standards.
- Perform basic computing tasks while following organizational security policies.
Skills Required
- Expertise in using the ultrasound machine.
- Expertise in using Sherlock Tip Location System and 3CG technology.
- Leadership and organizational skills including the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of relevant Standards of Practice, Professional Guidelines, and Regulatory Requirements
- Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a clean driving record

- Demonstrate ability to perform placements while maintaining sterile technique.
- Demonstrate high level skills in critical thinking and assessment related to vascular access devices.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
Education and Certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years vascular access clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Vascular Access Board (VA-BC) certification required within one year of hire.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour

- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
