Job Title: Associate Product Owner, Enterprise Data Platform

Position Overview
As an Associate Product Owner with Health Union, you will own the backlog and execution for your suite of products end-to-end. You will operate as a subject matter expert on the technical capabilities of your product and will work directly with Product Managers, stakeholders, engineers, and fellow Product Owners to define the roadmap, features, and priorities for your team. Your ability to think both strategically and tactically will drive the success of your product and impact the momentum of Health Union as a whole.
The Associate Product Owner for Health Union’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) will work with several data scrum teams to lead the development of a robust data ecosystem across data collection, storage, identity resolution, and data activation. In conjunction with partnership integrations, Health Union's EDP powers a range of key commercial products and supports internal analytics across the business.
What You Do:

Combine high-level corporate strategy with a deep familiarity with technical products and their users to build a backlog that supports effective roadmap delivery

Scope and deliver projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering/translation, prioritization, dependency identification, management timelines and milestones, and definition of exit criteria

Improve the efficiency of delivery teams by defining implementation requirements and removing non-technical roadblocks

Manage internal customer expectations regarding the product roadmap and any schedule changes

Own issues and bottlenecks to resolution: provide escalation, make appropriate trade-offs, and commit to and meet delivery deadlines

Define and report on key service metrics to company peers and leadership

Represent the voice of the user in refinement and planning sessions

Build relationships with engineering teams, operations teams, and stakeholders across Health Union
What You Bring:

2+ years of hands-on product ownership experience working with technical teams

Familiarity with modern data technologies and comfort working with a modern data stack

Integration of various data sources into centralized cloud storage

Data transformation and governance

Leveraging data to power business intelligence

Delivering data to partners for activation

Proven ability to work and problem-solve independently and collaboratively while organizing workload and priorities

Demonstrated history of high-quality execution, technical innovation/adaptation, and initiative

Ability to manage competing priorities and customer relationships in a complex, dynamic environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior engineers and executives

Hands-on experience in product ownership and prior success guiding the efforts and priorities of a technical team
Annual base salary for positions at this level and job group is $75,000 to $110,000, and your base pay will depend on the qualifications, experience, skills and competencies required for this job.
At Health Union, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range which provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
