Overview
The purpose of the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) is to support the faculty and scholars (undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellow/associates) of Rutgers –New Brunswick in advancing their preeminence in research and scholarship through fostering innovations, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community engaged scholarship. The OVPR serves as a strategic partner in New Brunswick advocating for resources, developing communication/opportunities, and supporting seed funding initiatives, to promote an inclusive culture for research and scholarship. The Office also provides advice and planning for university-wide research initiatives and priorities including its Centers and Institutes, supporting New Brunswick and its cross-campus and Chancellor-led units’ research infrastructure development, working closely with the central University Office for Research and Office of Institutional Research and Academic Planning.
