We are looking for a high-level individual IT Systems Administrator to support our New Ulm, MN and Eagan, MN locations. The IT Systems Administrator will be a local resource and boots on the ground for our subsidiaries in the Minnesota region and will join our highly motivated IT Infrastructure team with members located across North America. As a member of our IT Infrastructure team, you help drive productivity and make continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The IT Systems Administrator will assist the head of IT Infrastructure manage the needs, projects, and issues at our New Ulm and Eagan, MN locations. This will require occasional travel to and from these locations. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager IT Infrastructure for HPG Brands. Daily duties will include maintenance on physical and virtual servers and networks. Remediation and Monitoring of IT Security Notifications and Systems. You will assist the Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure in completion of IT projects including setup of new network equipment and servers, migration of on-premises resources into the cloud, implementing a backup and disaster recovery solution, and deploying a scalable and resilient hybrid cloud infrastructure. In addition to supporting HPG Brands employees across the US, Canada, and Mexico, utilizing our Help Desk and administrator toolset.
Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.

Associates Degree or higher in Information Technology Related studies OR equivalent experience.

1+ years of experience in administration of Windows Networks and Microsoft 365.

Experience with setting up and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.

Experience in managing virtualization technologies like VMWare and Hyper-V.
-
Knowledge of key network storage protocols include NFS and SMB.

Experience implementing, administering, and supporting Microsoft Windows Active Directory. networks including Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, Client, GPO and Security policies.

Experience developing and using PowerShell scripts for administration tasks.

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Files, Azure Virtualization, and Azure AD.

Patch and Update management.

Familiarity with CMD and other CLI interfaces.

Strong abilities to troubleshoot Windows 10, Windows 11, and OS X operating systems.

Strong Microsoft Office skills and abilities.

Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies is required.

A+ certification or equivalent IT focused certification and experience.

Additional Preferred Skills: IoT/Mobile Device Management, PowerShell scripting, Data Mining, Visual Basic Scripting, Batch Scripting, Linux use and administration

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Scheduling flexibility required to accommodate to workload. Occasionally working evenings and weekends for emergencies and maintenance.
Primary travel to New Ulm, MN and Egan, MN. Remote Support of employees in Massachusetts, Texas, Utah, and Canada.
