Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to patients in their homes or assisted living facilities. Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with medication reminders/management
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, including tube feeding if necessary
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Provide catheter care if required
- Follow medical documentation procedures accurately and timely
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
Skills:
- Proficient in taking vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities and nursing home environments
- Experience with medical documentation systems preferred but not required
- Knowledge of catheter care procedures
- Understanding of hospice care principles
