Supervises: Education Program Team
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with schedule varying as program requirements dictate.
Position Summary: The Education Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Education Program team, which includes instructors, production staff, and support staff. The manager ensures that daily activities within the program provide a comprehensive learning experience for all students. This role involves providing leadership and guidance to the team, supporting the implementation of the curriculum and all program components.
This position is crucial to the success of the organization. By supporting our students, staff, families, and community partners, the Education Program Manager will help create opportunities and experiences that are meaningful to our students. This role enriches the lives of our students and advocates for their success.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the Education Program staff.

Implement the Education Program curriculum.

Collaborate with the Education Program staff to develop classroom and offsite learning components.

Regularly assess the effectiveness of program content through classroom observations.

Ensure classrooms are equipped with necessary learning materials and resources.

Implement positive behavior strategies based on regular information exchanges between program staff and supervisors.

Develop and refine lesson plans focused on specific skills and knowledge and create systems to measure progress.

Conduct training sessions to support staff development on relevant issues, program improvements, strategy implementation, and other topics.

Assist instructors and academic advisors in creating semester schedules and determining appropriate paths for students.

Facilitate off-site learning opportunities by coordinating with community partners.

Meet regularly with leadership to discuss services, program development, concerns, and provide weekly updates on program success.

Oversee medication administration for students needing daily medication, if applicable. (under the supervision of a nurse).

Oversee the notes process including weekly audits to ensure accuracy and minimal corrections.

Train and oversee staff in providing accurate weekly progress notes for billing purposes.

Assist in administering skills assessments to clients and develop goals based on desired outcomes.

Help create Individual Adjustment Plans (IAP) and conduct client staffing with referring agencies to present assessment results and IAP.

Maintain records in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Perform additional tasks as required by the Director of Disability Services
Community Relations

Maintain a positive working relationship with other departments and referring agencies to ensure success of the program and organization as a whole.

Represent the Education Program at appropriate meetings and community events as requested.
Professional Development

Maintain a personal commitment to development of professional skills needed to stay abreast of the latest techniques, issues and trends in the employment and disability field.

Complete required training identified by organization including, but not limited to First Aid, Crisis Prevention, and Safety Training.
Education & Experience:
- B.S. or B.A. in social services, education, or related field. Equivalent years of related experience may be substituted for degree requirement at the discretion of Goodwill Dallas.

Minimum of two years of social work, or workforce development or related experience. A varied work history is a plus.

Excellent computer and communication skills with ability to lead presentations as/if required.

Flexibility to adapt to tasks as required by clients and/or leadership.

Ability to work effectively as a member of the Mission Services Team and under the direct guidance of the Director of Disability Services.

Complete required courses and obtain required certifications (UNTWISE Job Skills, Job Placement, First Aid, CPR) and obtain other employment related credentials as necessary.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
