Primary Responsibilities
- Performs non-complex work assignments that require no experience.
- Majority of work assignments are repetitive in nature.
Specific Responsibilities
- Able to perform work assignments in the lamp assemble or wire/harness areas.
- Responsible for maintaining product quality while performing operations.
- Work assignments covered by this classification are: test/grease, sonic welding, vibration welding, hand pinning, stud terminating, wire cutting and stripping, harness prep lines, tap machine, molding plugs to wires and harnesses, splicing.
- Ordinary, physical exertion and ordinary mental and visual effort.
Other Requirements
- Responsible to identify and communicate corrective actions.
- Frequent mental and visual effort required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Persons in this job must be able to sit and/or stand all day (up to 10 hours), manually lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull containers of wire/cable, which may weigh up to several hundred pounds (either on dollies or on edge-not dead weight), rotate to various assignments involving various working conditions within their job descriptions, perform high and low repetition jobs, perform all aspects of the job, perform fine manipulation, perform accurate visual inspection, firm grasping and firm cutting (up to 25 pounds of pressure periodically) and be able to use hand tools including but not limited to tweezers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screw drivers, pliers, soldering irons, cable cutters, utility knives, etc., manually push, pull and bend wire and cable, work through a range of motions from ground level up to and including above should height, and bend and twist at the waist.
Education Required
- Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures.
- Must pass a basic skills test provided for this job.
- Preferred High School or G.E.D. Certification but not necessary.
