Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate care to patients in critical conditions. Duties:
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians
- Perform specimen collection and processing for laboratory testing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment options
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and documentation requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Aseptic technique proficiency for sterile procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment is a plus
