Director, Office of the CIO Role
Our client is seeking a Director of the Office of the CIO (OCIO). The role is responsible for the financial and personnel management functions within the firmwide IT organization. The IT organization is currently executing a modernization and digital transformation journey. This position will lead the effort to streamline and automate key processes that directly support the broader transformational effort including budget preparation, reporting and vendor selection for the implementation of a new purchase requisition system. This position is also responsible for the development of staff engagement functions such as Career Path Framework, Welcome to IT, Skills Matrix and Training Plans.
The ideal candidate possesses a keen technical foundation and strong business acumen, with a blend of strategic, operational, project and change management skills. Additionally, they must be a proven leader, adept at collaborating, influencing and solutioning with colleagues across the matrix organization. They are biased toward action and enjoy the dynamism of a fast-paced, innovative environment.
This will be a full-time, exempt position, in a hybrid capacity located in a key major market (Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Salt Lake City or Washington, D.C.).
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence and Strategic Coordination:

Facilitate and coordinate meetings to track the execution of IT strategy and roadmap
- Improve processes for operational excellence
- Collaborate on communication and change management initiatives within the IT organization, in coordination with other firmwide departments including Human Resources and Finance
Budget and Procurement Management:

Lead the IT firmwide budgeting and procurement processes and supporting the financial analysis of third party RFP’s and SOW’s
- Handle budget preparation, financial reporting, and purchase order requisitions
- Ensure alignment with valid contracts and planned budgets
- Provide training and documentation for budget owners and purchasing requestors
Personnel and Organizational Management:

Oversee IT personnel management, including headcount tracking, organizational alignments, and onboarding programs
- Maintain the IT Career Path and Skills Matrix
- Coordinate with Finance and Human Resources on IT personnel matters
Recommended Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with experience in financial management.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Chief of Staff or senior management role, preferably within the professional services industry, leading large scale IT transformations.
- Demonstrated expertise in process development, vendor management, project management and change implementation.
- Exceptional leadership skills with an ability to manage teams and collaborate across functions, and comfort in working within a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive and can-do attitude.
Compensation Range: Dependent on experience and location, $200-$240K + bonus and benefits
