The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the comprehensive management of financial activities for these organizations. This role will ensure that financial operations support the organization's goals, standards, and mission to deliver high-quality residential healthcare, dining and property management services. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with operations managers to align financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Monthly P&L responsibilities for several companies; Prepare and present financial reports to owners and senior management; Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Execute detailed account reviews including bank reconciliations and balance sheet items; Cash Accounts, AR & AP sub-ledgers are reviewed and tied out monthly
- Accounts Receivable should be reviewed monthly. Manage billing file coordination between companies for financial consistency; oversee, cash flow monitoring and revenue recording; follow up with staff and/or families or clients on past dues.
- Credit card transactions should be reviewed monthly; Ensure credit cards have been applied to appropriate accounts prior to posting.
- Accounts Payable should be reviewed weekly. Ensure transactions are classed correctly, question transactions and approve for payment. Track key expense accounts such as food and labor on a monthly.
- Conduct monthly allocations such as accruals, prepaid expenses, adjustments, and distributions. Review necessary journal entries
Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed by staff. Make sure procedures are well documented for ease of training. Assist and cover payroll duties when needed.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations; Assist the Operations Managers in developing and making informed operational decisions, monitoring performance, and adjusting strategies as necessary
- Help perform annual benefit and insurance renewals; Coordinate HR functions between businesses to ensure consistency; Benefits include 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, Accidental Health
- Monitor and help manage all Workers Compensation Claims
Compile various quarter-end, and year-end statements & tax summaries along with audit materials for tax accountant; Ensure quarterly taxes and HUD reporting are completed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting mandatory; CPA or MBA holders preferred.
- Minimum four years relevant and increased experience essential; supervisory roles advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of resolving issues efficiently while maintaining high productivity levels.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential material situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital to engage effectively across all company levels.
- Efficient time management skills, strong ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Attention to detail and proactive and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer relations - responsiveness being critical
- Experience working with QuickBooks desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with high level efficiency with Excel
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
