We are now hiring experienced Crane operators to work in production. This position will require a minimum of 1 year using a bridge crane.
The Production Team uses the crane to:
- Assist for Forklifts in the mornings by tipping down and moving product
- Stripping cured product by flipping and moving forms
- Picking up and inserting cages into forms
- Lift mud buckets to pour concrete into forms
- Move product in the production area
- Experience in Construction and Concrete Industry preferred
- Possible use of hand tools such as power tools, vibrators, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
- Pouring of vertical concrete
- Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products
- Places steel reinforcing in forms in the manufacturing production process
- Tear down forms after the concrete is cured
- Strip and clean concrete forms
Preferred experience:
- Construction and concrete experience preferred
- Form-work, concrete construction labor work, machine and heavy equipment operating experience that meets or exceeds performance expectation
- 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Card
- Crane Operator Certifications
Physical requirements:
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance, sight, hearing and physical strength.
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing up to 50 pounds of materiel and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested
- Frequently walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, bending and climbing
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and hearing test.
- Must wear the required PPE/ steel-toe boots while in the production areas
- Good attendance and a positive attitude
- Working during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations
- Bi-lingual is a plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
